In court today (April 28th) in Florence, South Carolina, Florida rapper Kodak Black reached a plea deal for sexually assaulting a high school student, during a 2016 incident when he was 21 years old.
Today he pled guilty to first-degree assault and battery, and was facing up to 30 years in prison. However, per the plea agreement, he was sentenced to a suspended 10 year sentence in lieu of 18 months probation.
Kodak was recently released from a 3 year prison sentence in January of 2021 after obtaining a pardon from former president Donald Trump on his last day in office.
