According to legal documents surfaced by TMZ, Kanye has filed a lawsuit against Walmart for selling knockoff Yeezy Foam Runners. Walmart was trending earlier in the week when people began to point out how similar the knockoffs were that were being sold by the discount retailer. Once this news reached Kanye, he filed suit claiming they copied his exact design.
This lawsuit comes after Ye had already requested the dupes be removed from the Walmart website. The documents state that the sale of the knockoffs was causing profit loss to the multi-billion dollar Yeezy Brand and that the discount retailer was attempting to capitalize on Kanye's name to make a profit.
This isn't the first time Ye and Walmart have clashed. Earlier this year, Walmart filed a complaint with the US Patent and Trademark Office claiming Kanye's logo was too similar to their store logo and that this could damage the image of the company.
