The 36th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set to take place live in Cleveland, Ohio on October 30 of this year. Of the 13 inductees, music icon Tina Turner and rap legends Jay-Z and LL Cool J are among the most notable, with this year's ceremony being helmed as one of the most diverse by the organization.
Getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is no easy feat. To achieve this huge honor, an artist must have released their first record more than 25 years before being nominated. They will then be placed on a ballot to be voted on by current inductees, historians, artists, and others in the music industry, who base their votes on many factors, including but not limited to length of career and musical influence. Nominees can be inducted in one (or more) of four categories: Performer, Early Influence, Musical Excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Tina Turner and Jay-Z will be inducted under the Performer category while LL Cool J will be inducted into the Musical Excellence category. You can watch the ceremony on HBO and HBO Max at a later date than the live show.
