The Queen Bee herself, Lil Kim, announced via People.com that she will be penning a memoir in the near future. The book will cover the rapper’s 30-year career in the music industry. The hip-hop legend will openly discuss career highs and lows and her personal life, including the misogyny of her musical peers, her impact on the fashion industry, and sex positivity. It will also detail her many high-profile relationships, as well as her brief stint in prison.
Kim seems excited to finally be able to tell her side of the story, and in the past has expressed disdain toward her portrayal in the movie “Notorious”. This memoir will only help to further solidify her position as the trailblazer and inspiration she is for other women in the industry. The book, set to be released on November 2nd of this year, will be published by Hachette books and co-written by Kathy Iandoli.
