The Breakfast Club had Instagram (IG) head, Adam Mosseri, on their show this morning (07/27) and one of the topics of conversation was about Boosie Badazz and his IG account. Mosseri states that Boosie was banned because he violated the IG nudity policy. Listeners around the world heard this and that includes, Boosie, who responded to the IG head and was not happy.
Boosie took to IG from another account and stated, “Adam Mosseri, can you give me my page back. “Y’all gave her page back, can you give me my page back? You gave everybody their page back, give me a second chance! Give me my official Boosie page back with 10.5 million followers so I can help feed my family some more. Do y’all think about the hurt you cause people’s families when you take people’s page away? You should give me my page back. The community wants to see me, man.”
The Louisiana rapper later posted another clip where he says racism is the reason for his official account still being banned. During the clip Boosie can be seen and heard telling Mosseri to tell the truth about why his account is still banned. During the Breakfast Club interview, Mosseri agrees that he and his team do not understand black culture well enough, even going on to say that its “tough”. This “tough” scenario must be a common theme among platforms as Boosie blasted Mark Zuckerburg earlier this year for being banned on Facebook. Most people would probably say that these “tough” scenarios could be eased by putting black people in places to help understand black culture.
