A new lawsuit has emerged against the estate of rapper Juice Wrld. Juice Wrld was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago. His song "Lucid Dreams" peeked at #2 on the Billboard Charts. The rapper passed away in 2019.
The law suit by Danny Choi alleges that a Juice Wrld song "Scared of Love" used 16 bars of one of his own songs. The song in question is called "So High", released in 2013 under the name Ghost Loft. Danny Choi, better known by his stage name Ghost Loft, is an American songwriter, record producer and recording artist based in Los Angeles. His genres include electronic music and R&B.
The lawsuit also goes on to state the producer of the Juice Wrld song, Mitch Mula stated "Scared of Love" couldn't have been made without the contributions from Ghost Loft's song. In the suit Universal Music Group, Juice's mother (the executor of the estate), and Mitch Mula are named. Ghost Loft wants writing credits, damages, and an injunction to stop further profits off of his work from "Scared of Love.
