It’s finally Off-Season time and with that comes a lot of different things for J. Cole. The rapper has found himself busy these days, from playing professional ball with the African basketball league to dealing with reactions from lyrics on his latest project. On Cole’s long-awaited recent album, he raps about fighting with Diddy. Something many people were aware of, even though neither party involved ever really discussed what happened.
On ‘let.go.my.hand’, track 8 on The Off-Season, Cole raps about the 2013 incident: “My last scrap was with Puff, who would have thought it?”. The incident occurred during an afterparty following the 2013 Video Music Awards. According to reports, partygoers packed the PHD Dream Downtown in Manhattan. This is where an intoxicated Diddy allegedly confronted Kendrick Lamar over his infamous “Control” verse and attempted to spill a drink on him. The rumor is that Cole stepped in and that lead to the scuffle between the two of them.
While fans may be in a slight uproar over the recent confirmation, things between Cole and Diddy seem to be good now. Diddy appears on the end of ‘let.go.my.hand’ dropping words of prayer. The Off-Season is getting rave reviews from many and the first week sales are projected to be anywhere between 280k-310k.
